Prof. Carla Isabel Montagud Montalvá
Carla Montagud currently works at the Institute for Energy Engineering (IUIIE), Universitat Politècnica de València. Carla does research in Industrial Engineering. Her research activity, as a member of the thermal area of the IUIIE, focuses on the Design, Modeling, Energy Analysis and Techno-Economic Optimisation of complex energy systems for the production of heating, cooling and domestic hot water. She is the deputy director of sustainable development of the school of industrial engineering (ETSII) at UPV and director of the Chair of Urban Energy Transition (CATENERG) at the UPV.
Prof. José Carlos Lourenço Quadrado
Professor José Carlos Quadrado is a distinguished figure in electrical engineering and higher education management and a leader in the Engineering Accreditation field. With degrees from renowned institutions and extensive leadership experience, he has contributed significantly to international organizations and accreditation efforts. His innovative projects in renewable energy, sustainability, and electric vehicles have earned him international recognition. As a prolific author and editor, he continues to drive excellence in engineering education and practice.

Dr. Carmelina Cosmi
Carmelina Cosmi (M.Sc. in Physics, Ph.D.) is head of the Energy and Climate (E&C) Unit at CNR-IMAA. Her skills and expertise concern energy systems analysis and modeling, rational use of resources, energy-environment policy evaluation, sustainable development and smart governance. She has been a thematic expert, scientific coordinator, and policy advisor in several international research projects funded by the EU Framework Programs (FP6, FP7, H2020), the LIFE program, the ERDF (including Interreg MED,SEE, and ADRION), and various national projects. She has participated in the Urban Europe Research Alliance since its founding. She is also an author of several articles published in international journals and a reviewer for many ISI journals.
Prof. Suwan (Cheng) Long
Suwan (Cheng) Long is an accomplished academic and incoming Assistant Professor in Finance at IESEG School of Management, set to join in September 2024. With a PhD in Finance from Trinity College Dublin and a strong research background at the University of Cambridge's Judge Business School, Suwan specializes in the dynamic intersection of finance, technology, and sustainability. She has published several academic papers at top journals in finance and economics field and also served as visiting professor at three different universities across Europe. Her research, which spans from climate finance to the environmental impact of cryptocurrencies, has been widely recognized and cited by policymakers and industry leaders. She is also an active member of academic associations and a peer-reviewer for several top finance and economics journals.
