The conference venue is easily accessible by public transport or on foot. The nearest bus stop, Ethniki Trapeza (served by bus lines 11, 18, 20, and 23), is just a ten-minute walk away.

By plane

Chania is served by the Ioannis Daskalogiannis International Airport, located approximately 14 km from the city centre.

The airport is well-connected to Chania via public buses, with tickets available for purchase online. Buses depart every hour, and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes.

If you arrive at the Nikos Kazantzakis International Airport in Heraklion, you can take local public buses (lines 6, 11, or 12) to the Central Bus Station, where you can catch a bus to Chania. Detailed timetables are available here.

By taxi 

There are plenty of local taxi operators which are available at the airport’s exit. 

By Chania public transport  

Chania offers an extensive urban bus connection with two distinctive zones, A and B. The The MediterraneanArchitecture Center belongs to the zone A. Further information concerning the local transport can be found on the bus company website.

Visa policy
Greece is a member of the European Union (EU) and part of the Schengen Convention. For  information regarding Greece’s visa policy, we advice visiting the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece.

Typically, citizens of the European Union and European Economic Area will not need a visa to enter the country, just their ID or passport.
